About Team Kalorik

Since 1930, the Kalorik brand has been in existence. It is Belgian in origin. The first contemporary and attractive electric toaster with openwork tilting shutters was created by Kalorik, a pioneering manufacturer of small appliances in Europe, along with heaters and deep fryers later on. In the early 2000s, Kalorik changed its name to Team Kalorik and partnered with Efbe Elektrogeräte, the top small appliance manufacturer in Germany, to form a firm that has become synonymous with superior engineering, creativity, and original product creation. Later, the business opened branches in China, the USA, Poland, France, and the UK. Germany is home to our main warehouse and our manufacturing facilities. Additionally, our engineering department is based here and oversees the testing and approval of all of our goods. Even though the second generation has joined the management, Team Kalorik is still a family-run company today.

Weight unit

Your scales allow you to use the metric measurement system (grams/kilograms) OR the imperial system (pounds/ounces). Choose the measurement system by pressing the small pushbutton situated on the rear side of the appliance when the appliance is switched on. The default measurement unit is “grams”. If you press the button, the measurement unit will be “pounds”. The measurement unit “ounce” will be activated if the button is pressed once more. The measurement unit “kilogram” will be activated if the button is pressed once more.

  • Press the “ON/OFF” key lightly with your finger. The scales will turn on and the LCD will show “HELO” for a few seconds and then “0” g, “0.000” lb, “0.00” oz, or “0.000” kg.
  • Put the object you want to weigh on the kitchen scale. The stabilized weight is displayed.
  • Remove the object from the kitchen scale.
  • The scale turns off automatically after about 45 seconds. You can also switch the scale off anytime by keeping the “ON/OFF/TARE” key pressed for two seconds.

Tare function

With the tare function, you can measure only the content of a container without measuring the weight of the container itself.

  • Press the “ON/OFF” key lightly with your finger. The scales will turn on and the LCD will show “HELO” for a few seconds and then “0” g, “0.000” lb, “0.00” oz, or “0.000” kg.
  • Put the empty container (for instance a bowl) on the weighing platform. The stabilized weight is displayed.
  • Press the “TARE” key to reset the weight to “0”. The weight of the container will now be displayed as zero, even though it remains on the weighing platform.
  • Add the ingredients into the container and read the weight when the display is stable. Only the weight of the ingredients in the container will be displayed.
  • If you have to weigh/add several ingredients one after another in the same container, you can also use the tare function and in this way, you will each time get the exact weight of the ingredient you have added.
  • The scale turns off automatically if there is no action within 45 seconds. You can also switch the scale off anytime by keeping the “ON/OFF/TARE” key pressed for two seconds.
