HIGHLIGHTS
All Models
- Advanced carbon composite frames are nonmagnetic to transfer more energy to the voice coil and nonresonant to improve sound quality.
- Light, stiff Plus One cones deliver more diaphragm area than other speakers in the class.
- Frequency response up to 21kHz means a bright, airy sound that opens up the listening space.
- Vented magnet assemblies keep the voice coil cool and reduce power compression over time.
- Three-ohm voice coils help compensate for added resistance in thin-gauge factory speaker wire.
- High sensitivity (91-94dB @ 2.83V/1m) means these speakers play loud even with moderate power.
- Modern cosmetics with high-tech grilles on many models where surface mounting is common.
Coaxial Models
- Edge-driven soft dome tweeter diaphragm delivers a rich detail of vocals and instruments in music and handles power better than other designs. It also has specific dispersion characteristics intended for mounting locations in a car.
- UniPivotâ„¢ (patent no. 6,002,780) tweeter on 5-1/4″ (130mm) and larger models aims the sound to the listener’s ears.
- 0 or +3dB adjustable tweeter level on 5-1/4″ (130mm) and larger models to suit on- or off-axis placement.
- Mounting adapter rings are included in 4″ x 6″ and 6-1/2″ (165mm) models for increased install coverage.
Component Separates
- 3/4″ (19mm) edge-driven soft dome tweeter for greater flexibility in placement within the vehicle’s interior.
- The patented I-Mountâ„¢ (patent no. 5,859,917) tweeter mounting system allows flush or surface mounting to blend with the interior.
- Dedicated 12dB/octave passive crossover networks increase power handling and musical clarity.
SUMMARY
GTO speakers provide high-end performance at moderate pricing. JBL experts specifically evaluate each model for overall and vocal-range voicing, intermodulation distortion, and performance at the limits. GTO speakers are also tested to strict carmaker reliability standards. Both of these are unique to the JBL development process, something most other competitors never pursue.

FAQs about JBL GTO939 Premium 6×9 Inches Co-Axial Speaker
Why are there six by nine speakers?
Excellent coaxial speakers with a mid-treble frequency range, 6×9 speakers often fit into your car’s factory enclosures. These speakers have excellent treble, clear midrange, and occasionally good bass performance.
What frequency does a 6×9 speaker operate at?
24 kHz to 35 Hz 6-Ohm x 9-Ohm 4-Way Coaxial Speaker System TS-A692F
Are 6×9 speakers musically pleasing?
They are not only very affordable and simple to install, but they also provide excellent sound quality. When choosing 6×9 vehicle speakers, be sure to take durability, power and efficiency, installation, sound quality, pricing, brand compatibility, and compatibility into account.
Is the format 6×9 medium?
With its specialized, detachable, magnetic lens cones that enable the photographer to employ a variety of focal lengths, the Six:9 is a lightweight, portable, medium format camera. One lens cone or helicoid (if necessary) is included with every Six:9 camera as standard equipment.
Does 6×9 require a box?
As stated by the previous poster, 99.9% of 6×9 speakers, including these ones, are intended to be used outside. Performance will only get worse while using a box.
Which speakers are the loudest, 6×9?
The JBL Stage 9603 Loudest Car Speakers is the best 6-by-9-inch three-way speaker. Thanks to an extra component, these 6 x 9-inch speakers provide a wide frequency response. They have a piezoelectric super tweeter, a PEI-balanced dome tweeter, and an injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone.
At what Hz are speakers optimal?
A speaker with an ideal frequency response would have a smooth response over the whole range of human hearing, which is 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
Can a 6×9 be used as a subwoofer?
When properly phased and installed in the parcel shelf, 6×9 speakers may generate a pleasing level of bass—not enough to make your teeth chatter—but enough for everyday listening. For versatility, I would suggest running them directly from a head unit in the parcel shelf or amplifying them using a full-range signal.
What is the ideal speaker wattage?
Conversely, the optimal range for a house speaker’s wattage is between 15 and 30 watts. The majority of homeowners think that 20 watts is a suitable quantity.
