Metal Plate Alignment Guide
The Qi Receiver Coil is usually located in the center area of the phone. Check with your phone’s manufacturer for Qi coil location. Below are some examples of commonly used phones.
We strongly suggest you use the included Placement Guide to place the Metal Plate at the bottom of your smartphone or case to receive an optimal charge.
- Align the + symbol and the side marker lines with the center of your phone or case, making sure the cut-out for the Metal Plate is at the bottom.
Once aligned, remove the adhesive strip at the top and stick the Placement Guide to the phone.
- Lift the Guide from the bottom to stick the Protective Film onto the area where the Metal Plate will be.
Put the Placement Guide back down, flat against your phone or case.
Please note, that the protective film is not necessary if you’re using a phone case.
- Place one of the Metal Plates as indicated by the cut-out on the Guide. Save the other Metal Plate as backup.
- Remove the placement guide. Then, simply position the metal plate on top of the magnetic mount head.
Mount Installation
- Please use caution when adjusting the Twist Lock on the air vent blade. Do not apply excessive pressure to the Twist Lock as this may damage the blades. iOttie is not liable for damages due to product misuse.
- Open the Twist Lock and push the mount completely onto the vent blade.
- Slowly tighten the Twist Lock for a secure connection to the air vent.
- Plug Micro USB into the charging mount on the back of the magnetic mounting head.
