The S760D is a highly adaptable speaker system with many input possibilities for home entertainment, gaming, big room settings, and for both personal and business use. Both a wired and a wireless remote control offer simple volume, input, and trimming adjustments.

FAQs About Edifier S760D Home Speaker System

Do rear speakers make a difference?

Only low-level “fill” should be produced by the back speakers. By giving your ear-brain conflicting information, back speakers that give more than low-level fill will ruin your imaging. This is especially true in cars because the back speakers are frequently closer to your ears than the front speakers.

Does surround sound add value to a home?

Home theatre systems typically have a return on investment of about 65%. Therefore, if you spend $20,000 on a home cinema, you can anticipate it to raise the value of your house by about $13,000. So while it does add value, the return is negative.

Should 5.1 speakers be behind you?

The purpose of the surround speakers is to give your room a sense of space. In a 5.1 surround sound setup, the surround speakers should ideally be positioned directly behind or to the side of your listening position.

Where should I place 5.1 speakers?

In relation to the principal seating location, the main speakers should be positioned 25–30 degrees off-axis. When seated, the tweeters should be about ear height to achieve the greatest imaging.

Does 5.1 sound better than stereo?

Stereo sound is preferable for music even though surround sound may be more sophisticated. Most audiophiles strive to create audio reproductions that give listeners the impression that they are in the precise location where the music was recorded, whether it be the atmosphere of being at a performance or unwinding in a studio.

Is DTS or 5.1 better?

For Blu-ray discs, Dolby Digital reduces the data rate of 5.1 digital audio to 640 kbit/s (kilobits per second). Up to 448 kbits/s is the lowest bit rate it supports for DVD discs. Comparatively, DTS is less compressed and offers greater bit rates of up to 1.5Mb/s (megabits per second).

How big of a room do you need for 5.1 surround sound?

A 5.1 system will work just fine in a space up to 350 square feet (about), but anything larger would almost certainly benefit from a 7.1 system.

What is better 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound?

Six channels are fed into six speakers in a 5.1 surround sound system to produce surround sound. Systems using 7.1 surround sound need 8 channels. The two additional speakers and sound channels result in marginally improved audio quality.

Is a 5.1 surround sound system worth it?

If you want to hear high-quality surround sound for things like movies, investing in a 5.1 surround sound system is worthwhile. While soundbars are superior to TV speakers and even to plain stereo output, they still fall well short of the immersive audio experience that a real 5.1 (or 7.1) audio setup can provide.

What is Edifier known for?

Edifier specializes in high-end sound systems that feature cutting-edge technology and opulent design. We provide exceptional audio through a variety of headphones, speakers, and music systems for personal enjoyment and work excellence.

Can you connect multiple Edifier speakers?

This is only feasible if the audio source supports dual Bluetooth audio. To find out if your Bluetooth device has dual Bluetooth audio functionality, please consult the owner’s manual or the manufacturer.
