DisplayLink Manager Menu
To set the display into extended mode
- Click on the DisplayLink icon.
- Select Extend.
The device is now extended in the direction it was the last time the display was in this mode. For more control, use the Extend To submenu and select one of the options. This puts the device into extend mode and places it to the Left/Right/Above/Below the main (primary) monitor.
To set the display into mirror mode
- Click on the DisplayLink icon.
- Select Mirror.
The resolution, colour depth and refresh rate of the primary screen are replicated on the monitor connected to the DisplayLink USB Graphics device.
Fit to TV configuration
- To configure Fit to TV, choose the option from the DisplayLink GUI. The following interface appears:
- You will also see a red border on the DisplayLink screen.
The red border shows the size of the new Windows desktop. Use the “+” and “-” controls on the Fit to TV GUI to change the size of the red border until it fits on the TV screen.
Note: Finer configuration of the size of the border can be achieved by holding down the CTRL key and clicking the “+” and “-”. - Once the red border is at the edges of the TV screen, click Apply to resize the Windows desktop.

How does the dock for the Dell D6000 work?
The DisplayLink technology used by the Dell Universal Dock D6000 offers docking functionality over USB. Multiple displays, audio, ethernet, and other USB peripherals can be linked to PCs over USB with the help of the universal docking solution.
How much electricity does the docking station for the D6000 provide?
When connected to a Dell computer, the D6000 series dock may supply 65 watts of power via a USB Type-C connector (Figure 2) that is set up for charging.
What can you do with a Dell universal dock?
Through the USB port, this universal docking solution makes it possible to attach numerous monitors, audio, Ethernet, and other USB devices to laptops. This is Dell’s first all-purpose dock that is compatible with USB 3.2 Type-C connectors on laptops.
Does the Dell D6000 need electricity?
Although the dock is made for these laptops, power for the machines must come from the AC adapter. Note that Dell computers with 65-Watt USB Type-C power requirements produced after 2018 are also supported.
Is the Dell dock functional without power?
The system will operate on battery power if there is no AC adaptor attached until the batteries are depleted and the system shuts down.
Do docking stations function in the absence of power?
