Applying 3M™ VHB™ Tape
- Make sure the surface of your choice is clean before attaching your product. For the 3M™ VHB™ to build a strong bond between the hanger and the surface of your choice, it must be dry, clean and free of oil and dust.
- For much better results, you can use a hair dryer to warm up the surface before applying the 3M™ VHB™ tape. Do NOT use a heat gun as this may damage the hanger and any surfaces!
- Test-fit the hanger to your desired surface (do not remove the backing). Your location should be free of any gaps or holes, for a stronger and safer fixing. For more precise placement, you can mark the exact position before placing the hanger.
- Remove the backing off the VHB™ tape and carefully stick hanger in the desired location.
- Apply pressure by pressing product A hard onto the surface B. This will help to develop high-strength adhesion and bonding. Bond strength will increase over time, after application.

To ensure a more secure bond has been achieved, do not use your new hanger for at least 24 hours after installation! Using the hanger right after installation will affect the result and the hanger may be falling off.

Removing 3M™ VHB™ Tape
Important
Do not just pull your hanger off the surface – this may cause damage!
Heating the 3M™ tape gently with a hair dryer prior to removal may help in loosening the tape from the surface. Do NOT use a heat gun as this may damage the hanger and any surface!
- Ensure a slow and gentle removal – 3M™ VHB™ is extremely strong and may result in damage to the surface if removed incorrectly.
- Gently apply pressure on one end of hanger A, tilting it slowly to increase the angle B and remove the hanger and the 3M™ VHB™ tape.
- Remove any excess tape from both the hanger and surface by hand, a hair dryer may help in loosening any remaining tape, clean with a gentle cleaner.
