About Ring
Ring LLC is a manufacturer of home security and smart home devices owned by Amazon. It manufactures a titular line of smart doorbells, home security cameras, and alarm systems.
First, complete the in-app setup.
- Make sure your Ring Alarm is disarmed.
- In the Ring app, tap Set Up a Device and find the Motion Detector in the Security menu.
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.
Then, install the device in your home.
- Install the Motion Detector on a wall or in a corner about 2.3m (7.5ft) above the floor.
- Clean the area before you attach the Motion Detector.
- To install using screws you will need
Screws: 2x 3x21mm
Anchors: 2x 5mm
Avoid false alarms by making sure you don’t aim the Motion Detector at heat sources, like a fireplace or sunny window, and that your pets can’t get close to it by climbing on the furniture.

How to change the battery
Slide the sensor up and off the mounting bracket. Replace the batteries with fresh AA batteries. Ensure that the battery is inserted correctly. When inserting batteries, make sure the (+) is correctly matched to the diagram.
WARNING: Inserting the battery with the wrong polarity may damage the device.

BATTERY SAFETY
This product contains alkaline batteries. This device requires batteries for use. Only use new 1.5V alkaline AA-sized batteries. Never mix old and new batteries. Keep all of the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not open, disassemble, puncture, cut, bend, shred, or heat the batteries, and do not allow metal objects to touch the battery terminals on the device as they can
become hot and cause burns. Remove all batteries if they are worn out or before storing your Device for an extended period. Dispose of all batteries by applicable laws and regulations and do not dispose of batteries by throwing them into a fire. If any batteries begin to leak, take steps to prevent the fluid from coming into direct contact with skin or clothes as the fluid could be corrosive and may be toxic. Remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment according to the battery manufacturer’s recommendations.
CAUTION!
The a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose of the used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
