USING YOUR PANINI GRILL

BEFORE FIRST USE

  • Carefully unpack your Panini Grill. Remove all packaging material.
  • Place the device on a flat, level surface to a 120-volt wall outlet.
  • Wipe off both cooking plates with a damp cloth so that they are clean and free of any manufacturing oils that may be left on the surface.
  • Wipe the outside of the grill housing with a soft damp cloth. Never immerse the grill, or power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • For first use, plug into the wall socket and heat for 5 minutes. This will burn off any residue from the manufacturing process.
  • NOTE: There may be a small amount of smoke or odor during first use. This should go off after the 5-minute burnoff.

TIPS

  • Always preheat before e using. Plug the cord into a power outlet while preparing the fillings.
  • For soft or liquid sandwich fillings use medium sliced bread, white or brown. If small amounts of filling use toasting bread.

HOW TO MAKE TOASTED SANDWICHES

  • Before first using please wipe the surface of the platens with a damp cloth and dry with a cloth, tissue, etc. To obtain an even golden-brown result, you can slightly butter the side of the bread in contact with the plate.
  • Fit the plug into the wall socket.
  • Close the Sandwich Maker and prepare the sandwich while the toaster is heating.
  • When the Sandwich Maker is ready after about 3 mins the temperature indicator light (the green one) will turn off. NOTE: The green “ready” light will turn on and off as the grill cycles to keep the correct cooking temperature.
  • Fully open the Sandwich Maker, and place the sandwich on the bottom half plate.
  • Lower the upper cooking plate carefully until the sandwich maker is tightly clamped.
  • Your sandwich will be toasted in 2-3 minutes or longer to suit your taste. Open the toaster and remove the sandwich using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal knife as this may damage the non-stick coating.
  • Close the lid to preserve the heat until ready to toast the net sandwiches.
  • Prepare further sandwiches if required while the one is cooking.
  • After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.

care & maintenance

  • After using and before cleaning, please remove the sandwich maker plug and wait for it to cool.
  • Wipe the inside and edges of the plate with an absorbent paper towel or a soft cloth.
  • Pour a little cooking oil onto the plate and wipe off after 5 minutes, when the food has softened.
  • Wipe the appearance with a slightly wet cloth to be sure that no oil or grease enters the appliance.
  • Do not clean the inside or outside of your maker with any abrasive pad or steel wool as in this way it will damage your Sandwich Maker.
