IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not put the hand mixer or cord in water or other liquid. If the hand mixer or cord falls into a liquid, unplug the cord from the outlet immediately. Do not reach into the liquid.
  3. To avoid possible accidental injury, close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  4. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  5. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from beaters during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons, and/or damage to the mixer.
  6. Remove the beaters from the mixer before washing.
  7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized Cuisinart service facility for examination, repair, and mechanical or electrical adjustment.
  8. The use of attachments not recommended by Cuisinart may cause fire, electrical shock, or risk of injury.
  9. Do not use outdoors or anywhere the cord or mixer might come into contact with water while in use.
  10. To avoid the possibility of the mixer being accidentally pulled off the work area, which could result in damage to the mixer or in personal injury, do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter.
  11. To avoid damage to the cord and possible fire or electrocution hazards, do not let the cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove.
  12. The chef’s whisk should be used without other attachments.
