Read instructions thoroughly BEFORE beginning. If using this product with residential door openers, this product must be used only with door openers manufactured after 1993 that utilize photoelectric sensors. The photoelectric sensors are always located on or near the bottom of the door track.
GETTING STARTED
Locate the Learn button on the garage door opener.
NOTE: Your garage door opener may look different.
Compatible with Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, LiftMaster, Master Mechanic, Do It, Genie Intellicode**, Overhead Door, Stanley, Wayne Dalton, or Linear garage door openers with Smart/ Learn button.

PROGRAMMING
- Select and write a 4-digit PIN:

INSTALLATION
Install out of reach of small children at a minimum height of 5 feet (1.5 m) above floors, landings, steps or any other adjacent walking surface, and away from ALL moving parts of the door. Secure the keypad to a smooth surface. Mount the keypad out of the path of the moving garage door, but within sight of it (4″ [10 cm] clearance is needed for the cover).

- Remove the battery cover to expose mounting
- Remove the battery and mount the keypad using screws
- Reassemble

- Install keypad within sight of garage door, out of reach of small children at a minimum height of 5 feet (1.5 m) above floors, landings, steps, or any other adjacent walking surface, and away from ALL moving parts of
- ALWAYS keep remote controls out of reach or NEVER permit children to operate, or play with remote controls.
- Activate the gate or door ONLY when it can be seen clearly, is properly adjusted, and there are no obstructions to the door
- ALWAYS keep the gate or garage door in sight until completely NEVER permit anyone to cross the path of the moving gate or door.

Press and hold the * and # buttons until the keypad stops flashing
- Enter the PIN from step 1, and press #.
- Enter the ID from step 2, and press #.
- Press and release the Smart/Learn button on the garage door opener
- Enter your 4-digit PIN and press the 0 key
NOTE: For Genie and Overhead Door units, press the 0 key twice - To test and use, wait until the lights turn off, enter your PIN and press the 0 key
CHANGING YOUR 4-DIGIT PIN
Enter the existing PIN, press *, enter a new PIN, and press *. To test and use, enter your new PIN and press the 0 key. If changing the PIN does not work, follow the programming steps above.
BATTERY
To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH
- NEVER allow small children near
- If the battery is swallowed, immediately notify the doctor
Replace the 9-Volt battery when the keypad light becomes dim or does not light up. Slide the cover up, remove the battery cover, and replace the battery. Re-programming may be necessary

Why is the wireless keypad on my Chamberlain blinking?
When the LED or screen flashes, the garage door opener is either in “lock mode” or has passed through a “pass point,” according to its internal system.

The CHAMBERLAIN Universal Wireless Keypad learn button is what?
Either green, red/orange, purple, or yellow will be the color of the Learn button. The Learn button has two functions: The opener can be programmed to accept attachments, or its memory can be cleared. All of the attachments that are programmed to the opener will be removed if the memory of the device is cleared.
Where is the enter button on a Chamberlain keypad and how do I reset it?
After the LED turns off, press and hold the LEARN button on the door control (approximately 6 seconds). The prior codes have all been removed.
What causes my Chamberlain to beep?
Premium Chamberlain garage door openers with a battery backup and/or Wi-Fi connectivity sound a beeping alarm to let you know they are working. A beep will sound to let you know that a step has been completed successfully or to help you identify a problem.
What stops a garage keypad from functioning?

Why are there three buttons on a Chamberlain remote?
The garage door is only opened by a single button. One of the three buttons locks the door (if compatible), and the other turns on the light.
Can a Chamberlain battery be recharged?
The battery in your Chamberlain or LiftMaster door opener is integrated with the motor casing or mounted close to it, much like any other rechargeable battery. The garage door can be opened and closed twenty times or more with each battery. Recharging only takes 4 1/2 hours.
How is a keypad used?
This kind of lock system needs a numerical code to allow admission to a building or piece of property instead of a key. Users enter the code using a numerical pad akin to one on a simple calculator. The door lock or deadbolt should open if the right code is entered.
