About Abestorm

Abestorm Crawl Space NeatyFresh Max allows for the free circulation of air on the porch and under the house. High moisture levels in the crawl spaces can lead to the decay and rot of wooden pillars that support the house, floor, joists, and beam pillars. Also, high humidity causes an increase in termite activity and the growth of fungi. Rust, which causes corrosion and leaks in metallic pipes, is also factored into the moisture level in your crawl space.

With our ventilation fan, radon gas from treated wood is expelled away. This gas and other odors can easily spread into the living room and cause discomfort. The NeatyFresh Max fan uses a humidity switch to control the fan to commence operation. The fan starts operating when the recorded humidity surpasses the selected value.

Carefully unpack the air filter and all its parts. Do not discard the carton or any packaging until the air filter is completely assembled.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

The air filter is designed to circulate and filter wood and other non-metallic dust. The unit requires only minimal assembly. However, it is important to consider how and where to place the unit. When selecting a site, ensure a suitable power source is nearby. Do not use extension cords with the air filter.

INSTALLATION METHOD #1 (Fig. 1):

  1. Thread the locknuts â‘  almost up the hanger â‘¡.
  2. Thread a hanger into each of the four mounting holes â‘¢ on the top of the air filter cabinet.
  3. Tighten the catch locknut against the cabinet top. Hold the hangers so that they do not spin while tightening the locknut.

CEILING PLACEMENT (Fig. 2)

Make sure the unit will be situated at least 7′ above the floor and at least 3′ away from a corner and any heating or air vents. (CEILING PLACEMENT – Fig. 2)Abestorm-DecDust-1350-360-Degree-Intake-Air-Filtration-System-Woodworking-fig-3

  1. Create a marking on the ceiling where you will be installing the hook. (recommended installation size: 23.6 × 23.6 inches, 60 × 60 cm.)
  2. On the marked spots on the ceiling, use a 3mm drill bit to create a hole.
  3. Install the wood screw hooks â‘¡ into the building support structureâ‘ . Do not mount the air filter to non-structural surfaces such as drywall or false ceiling grids. The hooks are rated for this air filter and can support a maximum of 100 lbs.
  4. Place a chain â‘¢ on each wood screw hook â‘¡.
  5. Attach the hangers on each chainâ‘¢.
  6. Make sure the unit is level horizontally and is at least 7′ above the floor if it is not, remove the air filter and adjust the length of the chain as needed. Then remount the unit.
  7. Plug the air filter power cord directly into a power source.

INSTALLATION METHOD #2 (Fig. 3):

FAQs About Abestorm DecDust 1350 360 Degree Intake Air Filtration System Woodworking

What size system of dust filtering is required?

Use this formula to calculate the necessary airflow or size: The area measured by length, breadth, and height of your workshop multiplied by the number of air exchanges per hour (preferably between 6 and 8) and divided by 60.

In a woodshop, where is the air filter located?

How and where you attach the air cleaner is just as crucial as its dimensions. Aim for a mounting height of 8 to 10 feet (no lower than 6 feet, or 2/3 of the floor-to-ceiling distance if the ceiling is lower than 8 feet). Place the intake about one-third the distance from the shorter wall by mounting it along the longest wall.

How is the air in a workshop cleaned?

There are a few different ways to accomplish this. Initially, an air filtration device (AFD) that collects fine floating dust in the air ought to be installed in every workshop. In addition, it’s critical to vacuum the workshop regularly and to use a vacuum with a HEPA filter.

What is the capacity of an air filter?

The mass of synthetic test dust that an air filter can hold onto until it reaches the desired final pressure drop increase is known as its dust retention capacity.

How much of an air filtering system should a workshop have?

The airflow required for your shop may be calculated by multiplying the length, width, and ceiling height. The cubic foot of your shop is the outcome. After that, divide this amount by ten. This represents the cubic feet per minute that your shop requires.

Can you wash air filters?

You can wash some types of filters, yes! This implies that you can clean the dust and debris off of your air filter and reinstall it in your HVAC system after its three-month lifespan has passed rather than discarding it. Before submerging it, make sure the filter is washable as not all filters are reusable.

In terms of air filtration, what is CFM?

The most often used unit of measurement for airflow is CFM or cubic feet per minute. The amount of air a room’s air purifier system filters is measured in CFM. The volume of air movement at a specific moment in a minute is measured in cubic feet. An air purifier can filter more air in a room the higher its CFM.

In a woodshop, how is dust management achieved?

To collect dust as it is produced, fit extraction apertures and dust hoods to your woodworking equipment. This minimizes the quantity of dust that enters the air and accumulates on surfaces by preventing it from spreading throughout the workshop.

What prevents dust from adhering to wood?

One unique tip to create the illusion of a dust-free space is to dust your hardwood furniture with a dryer sheet after you’ve cleaned it using the previously described cloth. Not only would the drier sheet give the appearance of cleaner furniture, but it will also keep dust from adhering to the wooden surfaces.

Is it possible to clean and reuse air filters?

Certain air filters, both permanent and semipermanent, can be changed for continued usage and cleaned as part of routine HVAC system maintenance. On the other hand, a disposable air filter functions differently. It needs to be taken out of the HVAC cabinet, thrown away, and replaced with a new filter on a regular basis.
