TROUBLESHOOTING

The air compressor will not inflate

  • Ensure the in-line fuse is securely inserted correctly; replace the fuse if necessary.
  • Check the vehicle cigarette lighter fuse, it should be rated at 15 A.
  • Ensure there is a strong connection between the power cord plug and the DC 12 V cigarette lighter.
  • Ensure there is a strong connection between the battery clamps and the 12 V cigarette lighter.
  • If the preset tire pressure is lower than the current tire pressure, increase the preset tire pressure to the manufacturer’s recommended level.

An air compressor is operating abnormally

  •  The connection between the air nozzle and the tire valve is not secure.
  • Ensure there is a strong connection with the power cord and 12 V socket.
  • If the preset tire pressure is lower than the current tire pressure, increase the preset tire pressure to the manufacturer’s recommended level.
  • The inflator may stop working after a long operation due to overheating protection. Please let it cool for 60 mins.

Air leaking through the hose

  • The connection between the air nozzle and the tire valve is not secure.

Slow inflation

  • The connection between the air nozzle and the tire valve is not secure.
  • Excessive use will slow the compressor’s inflation rate. Unplug the compressor and let it cool for 60 minutes.

FAQs About AstroAI 160 PSI Heavy Duty Tire Inflator Pump, Dual Cylinders & Dual Motors Air Compressor

What distinguishes an air compressor from a tire inflator?
A tire inflator is a small, lightweight gadget designed with portability and simplicity in mind, primarily for tire inflation. It can be used for tiny inflatables like bicycle tires and car tires, although it is typically not as strong as an air compressor.
What is the lifespan of a tire inflator?
The quality and amount of use determine how long a tire inflator lasts. An inflator with proper maintenance should last several years on average, but for maximum longevity, it is imperative to adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Must I purchase a tire inflator?
For drivers, an air compressor or tire inflator can be a very useful tool. This is because it makes tire inflation possible almost anywhere. Although you could purchase air at gas stations, owning your tire inflator is much more convenient.
Is a tire inflator required?
Purchasing a tire inflator will prove to be a life-saving choice in an emergency. The majority of cars on Indian roads have one tire plug kit and tubeless tires.
Is a tire compressor available?
Using an air inflator is safe if there is a slow leak or if the tires are a bit low on air.
Can I use a tire inflator and still drive my car?
It is advised in our instructions to run a Slime Tire Inflator with the motor off. This is a safety measure to avert mishaps. To power the DC plug, certain cars need the ignition to be in the “accessories” or “on” position.
Do tire inflators deplete batteries?
Yes, it is usually advised while filling a flat tire. Excessive use of the compressor might drain the battery, making it difficult to start the vehicle.
How should I select a 2023 air compressor?
Take note of the air compressor’s pressure and volume while considering one. Cubic feet per minute (cfm) and pounds per square inch (psi) are the units of measurement for these.
Why do tire inflators make such a noise?
Due to their small size and low capacity, almost all inflators are exceedingly noisy. For instance, the tiny piston within that inflator must move erratically (high RPM) to provide the pressure required to fill a truck tire. This process produces a lot of heat and noise.
For tires, is 40 PSI too high?
For example, if the recommended pressure for your tires is 35 psi and the maximum safe pressure shown on your sidewall is 44 psi, you can safely fill them with 38 or 40 psi. Even up to 44 psi is possible. Although the ride will be more difficult, there won’t be a blowout risk. You could even notice that cornering is sharper.
