Using Your Turkish Coffee Maker:

WARNING: Hot surfaces.

  1. Place the power base on a clean, flat surface.
  2. When filling with water, remove your appliance from its power base.

  4. Place the appliance onto the power base and move the switch to on.

Cleaning Your Turkish Coffee Maker:

  • Before cleaning turn off the on/off switch located on your coffee maker, unplug it from the outlet, and allow it to cool down.
  • It is recommended to rinse parts immediately after use to make cleaning easier.
  • Discharge the water and remaining coffee from the appliance, and wipe the outside of it thoroughly with a dry or damp cloth.
  • NEVER immerse the power base unit and the body in water, nor wash them in a dishwasher.
  • Avoid using abrasive and chemical cleaning agents (liquid bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.) in cleaning any accessories of appliance except special cleaners.
  • Stort the product in a cool, dry place, away from the reach of children.

Calcification Removal:

It is important to remove the calcification formed inside your water heater periodically in terms of both hygiene and energy saving. The calcification within the water used over time accumulates on the heater base and forms a brown layer which reduces the output of your heater. Slight calcification can be cleaned easily with a brush. (Before beginning this process, do not forget to disconnect the plug from the outlet.)

NOTE:
You can clean hard calcification with sediments using the calcification removers which are sold for household appliances that can be purchased from the market or vinegar.

  • To clean with the calcification remover; boil some water in your appliance, and mix the calcification remover with the boiled water. After waiting for a while, turn the appliance on again for 2-3 min. more and remove its inside and wash with clean water 2-3 times.
  • To clean with white vinegar; put half a liter of white vinegar in your appliance and wait for 1 hour, after that, empty the vinegar and wash your appliance with clean water 2-3 times.
