To turn the oven on
- Use the Function knob to select desired settings (grill, heating elements, fan, etc.)
- The light inside the oven should turn on
- Select the desired temperature by turning the thermostat knob
- The thermostat light should turn on
- When the selected oven temperature is reached, the thermostat light will turn off
- If the oven won’t turn on, then press the cooking buttons together
Smeg Timer instructions
- To set the (24-hour) clock if required
- Press the cooking buttons together
- Immediately press +/- until correct time shows (i.e. for 2am press ‘+’ 120 times)
- Note: Pressing both cooking buttons resets the timer countdown to 0:00
- To set cooking timer countdown (the oven will turn itself off after the countdown)
- Press The symbol ‘A’ will flash and 0:00 will be displayed
- Press +/- until desired cooking time is displayed (for 1 hour press ‘+’ 60 times, etc.)
- The clock will automatically reappear after 5 seconds
- The symbol ‘A’ will show on the clock
- A beeper will sound and the oven will turn off at the end of the set cooking time
- To stop the beeper, press
- To check the remaining time during the countdown
- Press Remaining cooking time will be displayed for 5 seconds
- To check what time cooking will finish during the countdown
- Press Clock will display the cooking finish time for 5 seconds
- To reset the cooking timer Instruction (4) and set it to 0:00, or
- Press The clock will be displayed (ready for changing) and the symbol ‘A’ will disappear
- The timer will display 0:00 the next time is pressed
- To set timer only (i.e. beeper will sound, but oven won’t turn off)
- Press the bell button 0:00 will be displayed
- Press+/- until the required time is displayed
- The clock will automatically reappear after 5 seconds and the bell symbol will be
- displayed
- Â At the end of time, the beeper will sound but the oven will stay on
- Press the bell button to turn off the beeper

If defrost is required, then select ‘0’ on the bottom knob and have a fan selected with the function knob
- Do not place Al foil or tray etc on the bottom of the oven
- Keep the oven door closed when cooking
- When opening a hot oven, first open the door 5cm for 4-5 seconds before fully opening
- After cooking, use heat-protective gloves when removing hot items
- To clean the oven Use a damp cloth and nonabrasive detergent. Rinse and dry.
- Â Clean glass with absorbent kitchen paper or a damp sponge and regular detergent
- Do not use metallic sponges or sharp scrapers
