Set up your Ring app
- Download the Ring app.
The app walks you through setting up and managing your Ring Pathlight. Search for “Ring” in one of these app stores, or visit: ring.com/app
- Set up your Ring Bridge.
The Bridge connects your Ring Smart Lights to the Ring app and the rest of your Ring devices. To set up your Bridge, follow the instructions in the Ring app or the Bridge user manual.
- Insert the batteries.
Push the lock button on the front of your Pathlight, and slide off the battery cover. Then insert four D Cell batteries (not included), flat end first, into the battery compartment.
- Set up your Pathlight in the Ring app.
In the app, tap Set Up a Device. When prompted, select Smart Lights and follow the in-app instructions. Once setup is complete, slide the battery cover back onto your Pathlight
Install your Pathlight
- Place the stake.
Gently drive the stake into the ground at your chosen location. Make sure the “Sensor Direction” arrow is pointing toward the area you want to monitor for motion.
Note
If you’re installing multiple Pathlights, space them 5-7 feet apart for the best motion-sensing performance - Attach your Pathlight.
Lower your Pathlight onto the stake and twist clockwise until it clicks to lock it into place.

Can Ring walkway lights be left on all day?
Utilize the light scheduling in the Ring app to leave your Smart Lights on for a prolonged amount of time.
Is Ring Pathlight usable without a bridge?
Your Pathlights are only useful as normal motion-detecting lights without the Ring Bridge.
How long do the batteries in ring Pathlights last?
Four D-cell batteries, which are not supplied, are needed for each Pathlight. The batteries should last roughly a year, according to Ring.

Why won’t my ring’s smart illumination function?

Can you turn off the Ring light?

Do Ring lights function offline?
Without a Wi-Fi connection, Ring Smart Lights will still turn on when they detect motion, but you won’t be able to manage them or receive push messages. Without Wi-Fi, Ring security cameras are inoperable.
How come my Ring Pathlight is not working?
Make sure the batteries are properly put in battery-powered gadgets. Additionally, see whether you have any installed batteries of various kinds or older ones that may have run out of power.
How long does it take a Ring pathlight to charge?
