Note:
The gasket must be placed on the bottom ring of the Brewing Container threads to ensure a proper seal.
To Brew
Brewing container and base feature convenient markings to ensure a proper seal. Always align these markings to prevent leaking.
- Add coarsely ground coffee to the container Fill to the coffee bean line; when finished, place Rainmaker on the container
- Pour 24 oz of water around Rainmaker The dot on the glass carafe indicates 12 oz; do not stir coffee grounds.
- Brew on the counter or in the fridge Place the lid on the brewing container and brew on the counter (12-24 hours) or in the fridge (20-24 hours)
- After brewing, place the container on top of the glass carafe Coffee will start to drain automatically.
- Use a carafe to serve or store in the fridge with a cork lid.
Cold Brew Tips & Tricks
We recommend a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio of coffee concentrate to water or milk. For example, if you measure out 2 oz/60 mL of concentrate, you would dilute it with 4-6 oz/120-180 mL of water or milk. All coffee is different! This ratio and the bean marking on the brewing container are great starting points, but depending on the roast you use, you might want to add more or less ground coffee the next time you brew.
Cleaning & Care
The base of the brewing container twists off and the filter can be removed for thorough cleaning. When reassembling, ensure the gasket is secure on the bottom ring of the threads, the brewing container and base are fully tightened, and the markings are aligned. The Glass carafe is dishwasher safe; hand washes the cork lid and all other parts.
