Other Consumer Safety Information

This appliance is intended for household use only. Use for food or liquids only.

WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard
This appliance is provided with a polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet. The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over. If the cutting unit blades lock and do not move, it will damage the motor. Do not use. Call the toll-free customer service number for information. Do not place a blender jar in the freezer filled with food or liquid. This will freeze and damage the cutting unit, jar, and motor.

Using the Blender

Your blender jar and blade are subject to wear during normal use. Always inspect the jar and blade for breaks, nicks, chips, or cracks. If any parts are damaged, do not use them.

  1. Place jar on base, aligning unlock icon with the baseline. Turn the jar counterclockwise until the blender locks into place.
  2. Add ingredients to the jar. Add drinking lid, pressing down to secure.
  3. Plug into an outlet. Always operate on a countertop or other supporting surface.
  4. Press and hold the ON button for 15 to 30 seconds or pulse the ON button until the desired consistency.
  5. Unplug. To remove the jar, turn clockwise and lift.

Blending Tips

  • Always add liquid first ½ cup or enough to cover cutting blades.
  • Do not chop or process hard foods such as cheese, crackers, or meat.
  • If the blending action stops during blending or ingredients stick to the sides of the Personal Blending Jar, release the Pulse Button and then unplug. Remove the Lid and use a rubber spatula to push the mixture toward the Cutting Blades.
  • Do not store food or liquids in the Personal Blending Jar.
  • This machine is equipped with motor overload protection. If the motor stops during operation due to overheating, unplug it and allow it to cool down for approximately 15 minutes. Plug the machine back in to resume normal operation.

Care and Cleaning

WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before cleaning. Do not immerse the cord, plug, or base in any liquid.

Clean before first use.

  1. Unplug.
  2. Wipe the Base, Pulse Button, and cord with a damp cloth or sponge. To remove stubborn spots, use a mild, nonabrasive cleanser.
  3. The personal Blending Jar and Lid are dishwasher safe.
  4. 4. DO NOT use the “SANI” setting when washing in the dishwasher. “SANI” cycle temperatures could damage your product. Parts may also be washed with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not soak.

  • Does not blend well. Not enough liquid was added to the jar. For correct blending, you need to add 1/2 to 1 cup (118-236 ml) of liquid (milk, juice, yogurt) before adding other ingredients.
  • Pieces of ice or frozen fruits are stuck under the blade. Take the jar off of the base and shake. Place on base and blend, or add more liquid. Blending fresh fruit requires less liquid than blending frozen fruit.
