The American corporation Arris International Ltd manufactures data, video, and telephone systems for both homes and enterprises. CommScope, a provider of network infrastructure, acquired Arris on April 4, 2019.

Important Safety Instructions

Do not connect equipment during an electrical storm. Do not use the product near water. Do not locate the product near flame, ignition, or heat sources. Use only the power supply and/or power cord included with the product. Clean using only dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or aerosols. Install the product near the power outlet. Ground coaxial cable shield at building/residence either close to the point of entrance or at the point of attachment. Ground as close as practical to the building/residence to minimize grounding connector length and reduce potential voltage differences between cable TV coaxial cable and another grounding system.

Ensure the coax cable attached to the device is in good physical shape and properly tightened to the unit. Do not block ventilation openings. Never stand it on soft furnishings or carpets. In areas with a high number of power surge events, additional power surge protection may be required. For models equipped with telephone service: Telephones should be connected directly to a telephony modem. Only a professional installer may connect the telephony modem to the home’s existing telephone wiring.

Physical connections to the previous telephone provider must be removed. Failure to do so may cause hazardous conditions, loss of service, and/or permanent damage.
