Quick Start Guide

In-app Setup

  1. Make sure your Ring Alarm is disarmed.
  2. In the Ring app, tap Set Up a Device and find the Motion Detector in the Security Devices menu.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.

Installation

  1. Install the Motion Detector on a wall or in a corner about 7.5 ft. (228.6 cm) above the floor.
  2. Clean the area before you attach the Motion Detector.

Avoid false alarms by making sure you don’t aim the Motion Detector at heat sources, like a fireplace or sunny window, and that your pets can’t get close to it by climbing on furniture.
